What has been your journey to today?

I faced death right in the eye on the 8th August 2019 when I was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer which had mestastisized to my liver (& at the time we thought the lung also but luckily it hadn’t), time froze & I remember almost leaving my body. It still haunts me to this day, the surreal feeling of that news because let’s face it, the mention of stage 4 to someone that knew nothing about cancer was not good. The mind only goes in one direction. How did this happen? I’m a mom. I can’t die. My child. Absolute panic beyond words. But somehow, I got myself together enough to get the ball rolling with my husband and family. Life became frenetic with doctors, testing, plans of action, we didn’t stop.

Eventually after two surgeries and an aggressive chemo regime, I made the leap to become plant based. I knew that there were so many things that I could not control but I could decide how to nourish my body. I had read so much about a plant based lifestyle and I was determined to implement these changes. I felt empowered, I had some control back. It was a gradual process and admittedly at the beginning I was a little obsessive! However, I credit this lifestyle to healthy recoveries, brilliant bloods, higher energy levels, better moods, regular bowel movements, pain free periods – not to mention the positive ethical & environmental impact it has. I also removed many chemicals from my house & only use vegan beauty products.

Which leads me to today, I want to share my experiences to support other women, maybe you’ve been sick too, maybe you just want to change your life and nourish your bodies. Whatever your reasons, I am here to guide you.

When we get sick, we would give anything to be healthy again. So why not try and prevent that illness with a plant based lifestyle? I know it’s not a cure but it sure bloody helps!

I do it for myself, my little girl, my husband and my family.

If this sounds like you and you’d like to become plant based or already are but need some help, please join my private Facebook group –
